Armagh's dedicated volunteers are incredibly generous with their skills and time, as they are passionate about supporting the women and children.

We have a variety of opportunities to fit each individual, including community engagements, facilitating programs, sitting on committees, event support, fundraisers, donation assistants and more.

Volunteer Days

Armagh has many different projects throughout the year that are perfect for groups that wish to come together to give back to the community. Projects could include:

  • Seasonal or holiday decorating and activities

  • Landscaping, gardening, cleaning and tidying

  • Building maintenance, repairs or upgrades

  • Fundraising projects and special events

  • Baking and meal preparation

These are just a few of the projects that have been completed by volunteer groups. If you have an idea, please contact us and we will try to make it happen.

Current Opportunities

If you are interested in volunteering, submit an application form to info@armaghhouse.ca. Please include a resume and contact details.

All volunteers will go through an interview process and you will be asked to read and sign a confidentiality form.

Before volunteering:

  • Personal and/or professional references are checked

  • Police reference check is required. Learn more.

  • Volunteer orientation will be done with a site supervisor

Current Opportunities:

Translator

Goal: Armagh is looking for someone who wants to contribute to their community by using their bilingual skillset! We are looking for Translation Volunteers to type documents from English into one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Urdu, Arabic and French!

Description: Write one document a week or more! Depending on your availability. 

Benefits: You will be working from home and assisting with Armagh's mission by providing the best possible opportunity for women and their children to overcome the devastating effects of abuse in their first language.

Qualifications: Have access to a computer and internet, must read and be able to write translation from English to one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Urdu, Arabic, French

Min Age: 18

Time Commitment: This is a Short Term (3 months or less) commitment starting 2024-10-14 AND ending 2024-11-14
Shifts are available Anytime

Training: Will be provided virtually by Armagh Staff
