Armagh is excited to announce our involvement in Carassauga’s Charity & Community Challenge (aka CC Challenge) on May 22, 23 and 24, 2015. This is an innovative way to raise funds and awareness for our organization. We cordially invite you to participate, as your involvement would allow us to raise awareness and funds in support of women and children who have been victimized by domestic violence. By participating in the CC Challenge, you would visit the Carassauga Festival of Cultures, Ontario’s largest multicultural festival, and complete fun tasks/challenges. If you successfully complete a minimum of 5 tasks in different pavilions, then you will be entered into a draw to win some really cool prizes!

How can I win a prize?

Successfully complete a challenge in 5 different pavilions (of your choice) to be entered into a draw to win awesome prizes. Prizes will be announced soon.

How do I register for the CC Challenge?

This process is simple! To begin fundraising, please click on this link. Create your personal fundraising page by choosing the “Sign Up” button on the top left. You can build your page within minutes. Share your page on Facebook and Twitter. As a loyal supporter, your passport will allow you to enter any of the 70+ countries featured within the Carassauga Festival of Cultures

What are the challenges/tasks that I would need to complete?

Participants will complete tasks of various skill levels that may include trivia, joining in entertainment or activities. Tasks will be fun and family oriented. Details regarding the tasks will be provided upon arrival at The Hershey Centre SportZone check in.

What is the cost to participate?

The registration fee is $10, which will gain you re-entry access into all pavilions during the festival weekend. Anything you raise and/or donate above that will be donated to our organization.

Where is Carassauga?

The pavilions within the Carassauga Festival are located in community centres, arenas and churches throughout Mississauga. Your starting point for the CC Challenge can be at any pavilion if you would like to pick up your passport from the Carassauga office or you can pick up your passport during the festival weekend. Details will be provided.

Are the locations accessible?

Yes! Passport holders and any accompanying children 12-and-under ride FREE on both Carassauga shuttle buses AND regularly scheduled MiWay bus routes during festival operating hours. For Mi-Way routes only, this privilege includes an extra ½ before and after festival hours on each day. MiWay, MiLocal and MiExpress buses are wheelchair accessible and are air-conditioned.

Should I register as an individual or as a team?

You can certainly register as an individual or a team, it’s your choice. There is no required number to build a team although we recommend teams of 4+. Teams can be schools, teams, families, co-workers or any group of people interested in supporting the cause. It is not necessary that all team members arrive to Carassauga on the same day/time. The task can be completed anytime between Festival hours on May 22, 23 and 24.
